Polish Defence Holdings' (PDH) Obrum and BAE Systems stunned MSPO this year with the unveiling of their PL-01 concept vehicle and Defence Photography were there to capture the moment. Clearly the 'star' of the show the vehicle is a radical and innovative concept to meet the Polish Army's requirement for a modern direct fire variant below 40tons but with exceptional survivability features including 'twin DAS' and stealth features. The unmanned turret features a 120mm cannon with 12 rounds stored in a bustle autoloader.
The unmanned turret does have a two-man crew but they are situated below the turret ring in a crew citadel. However, when they need more SA they have the ability to go head-out.
According to BAE Systems if some stored ammunition is removed from the chassis up to 4 fully equipped dismounts can be accomodated. And this space was shown in a 3D virtual environment at the show.
